NEAR US

THE MUSE FEDAIE TRAIL

Start directly on foot from our Hotel for an easy hike suitable for families with strollers and small walkers.

It is a loop of about 3.5 km that starts from the forest road behind Villa Welsperg, home of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, and allows you to walk in the natural contexts of Val Canali for a short, but pleasant and healthy walk for the body, mind, and spirit.

The trail is flat and introduces us to the “Muse Fedaie.” This name refers to the mythological Muses, entities connected to nature and local culture, and the “fede,” sheep in the local dialect, which were raised in the meadows of Val Canali.

Along the way, informational panels invite us to reflect on biodiversity, and children can have fun playing. Countless photo stops await you to capture the unique panorama of the Pale di San Martino reflected in the charming Welsperg lake.

RIFUGIO TREVISO

An easy route, also suitable for families, but not for strollers.

To reach Rifugio Treviso starting on foot from our Hotel, we will have to walk about 11 km and face a height difference of about 550 meters.

The trails to follow are 724 (Muse Fedaie), 709, and 707. Trail 709 develops in a side valley of Val Canali, Val Pradidali. Through woods and streams, we arrive at the ruins of Malga Pradidali, and from here, we follow the signs for Malga Canali. We now take trail 707, which follows the Canali stream. The first part of the trail is fairly gentle. The last stretch climbs a bit steeper through the woods until we reach Rifugio Treviso at an altitude of 1629 meters. At the arrival, a breathtaking panorama of the splendid surrounding mountains and a good lunch to recover from the effort awaits!

A challenging route with medium/high difficulty

RIFUGIO PRADIDALI

Height difference of about 1300 meters distributed over 6 km. We follow trail 709, which develops in a side valley of Val Canali, Val Pradidali. Crossing woods and skirting the Pradidali stream, we reach the Pedemonte pass. We continue our journey, leaving the forest behind and starting to climb a steeper stretch with some sections equipped with fixed ropes. They are not dangerous, but attention is required. We reach the refuge climbing among rock steps. Finally, we can admire the panorama towards the valley and enjoy a well-deserved lunch!

WANT TO SPEND A DAY VISITING THE VALLEY TOWNS?

We always start on foot from our Hotel, and crossing the Canali stream, we walk a short stretch on the paved road leaving behind the Castel Pietra campsite.

We take the flat path that, through meadows and wooded areas, will lead us to Le Cesurette, and from here continues skirting the ruins of Castel Pietra.

A fairly challenging descent takes us to the Madonna della Luce chapel. Skirting the Canali stream, we emerge onto the Passo Cereda road (SS347).

We can choose to continue on the paved road and reach the village of Tonadico, or, climbing a few meters up the state road, cross the streambed and take another gravel road that always skirts the Canali stream and will take us to the locality of Zocchet and then into town.
